About ProActive Kids

ProActive Kids camps was setup in 2013 by Chris Lang, a year before he co-built and opened Squirrel's Scramble. It was designed as a camp to be solely outdoors, full of action and adventure, with unique activities that stood out from the rest. Our aim is to inspire a love of the great outdoors for kids, for them to have fun and to challenge their limits not limit their challenges in a kind and encouraging manner. ProActive Kids hit the ground running with huge popularity among families from all localities far, wide and abroad. Squirrel's Scramble turned out to be the perfect addition to the camp to make it one of the best and most unique kids camps in Ireland which keeps the kids happy, challeneged, entertained and coming back year after year.

INFORMATION

The camp runs Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
It is based four days on the grounds of Killruddery Estate and one day at Dalkey Quarry. We will keep you informed as to which day the climbing session will be, closer to the time.
Dropping off times are from 8.30am to 9.30am, collection times are 3.30pm to 4.30pm, located at the Killruddery House and Gardens overflow car park, next to the farmer's market location.

The drop off and pick up hours are supervised relaxed times, when the children can play and practice the skills they have learnt. These times are provided for the convenience of busy parents to allow for late arrival.

Activities start at 9.30am, due to the big variety of activities we do, and the large size of Killruddery grounds we use many different locations. Arrival after 9.30am could result in your child missing out, as we may have already left the meeting point. This also applies to the Dalkey Quarry meeting point.

We will be taking great care to ensure all camp participants, their families and our staff will remain safe from Covid during our ProActive Kids camps.

Because our camps are outdoors and we can easily mantain a 2 metre distance between individuals we may not be wearing masks the whole time. Our staff will be wearing masks when a 2 metre distance is not possible to mantain, such as when harnessing for Squirrel's Scramble. We will ask that the children bring their own masks and wear them when we ask. We will have spare masks if they forget theirs. We will be providing hand sanitiser and ensuring that it is used appropriately, the children are welcome to bring their own small bottle if they do not wish to use ours. We will sterilise all equipment after use.

We will be asking you that for two weeks prior to the start of camp that you limit your social interactions as much as possible and please do not travel abroad. Please do not come to camp if you or a member of your household is suffering from any of the Covid symptoms, if this is the case please notify us via phone. Please notify us if during the two weeks prior to camp you have tested positive for Covid or are a close contact with anyone that has tested postive for Covid, for the safety of our camp participants, our staff and the wider public we will cancel your place on camp. Please inform yourself of our refunds and cancellations poilicy here.
